Melissa McPherson

Welcome!

Hello and welcome! My name is Melissa McPherson and I am a writer/blogger from a little town in Michigan. I have always loved to write, but sharing my writing with others has always been a challenge. I've decided to change all that. Here you will find all the information about recently published and upcoming works as well as news about upcoming events, and a blog where I hope to talk about writing.

The Lesser Remain

Eric was the last person anyone would expect to survive a zombie apocalypse. Born with Cerebral Palsy, he was used to fighting for a place in a world that didn’t want him. Now, he is faced with the end of that world and an even bigger problem—the dead. With the help of his best friend Olivia, he is hoping to survive by making it to the one place he ever truly belonged.

Written by first-time author Melissa McPherson, The Lesser Remain is a survival story for those of us who would typically be left for dead.

Goodreads Reviews

"Having a family member with CP, I was excited to read this book! The author does a great job of explaining the struggles that one with CP would face in a zombie apocalypse. It kept me engaged and rooting for the main character the whole time! This is not an inspirational story about overcoming your differences. It is an in your face and honest account of what it would be like living with CP and facing the end of the world!
Love, Love, Love!!!"

Angela K.

"This book combines the pandemic with a zombie apocalypse, with the hero as a young man with cerebral palsy, who overcomes everything to navigate through this new world. It kept me engaged throughout, and I am normally someone who stops reading after the first few chapters if I am not engaged! What a great first book! I am looking forward to more great reads from this author!"

Pam Ellison

"Zombie apocalypses aren’t usually my go to genre but I was intrigued by the idea of having a disabled main character trying to survive. I went in not expecting to love the book but I was pleasantly surprised. I loved it! The characters felt authentic and interesting. The story was fast paced and engaging. All around a must read!"
